The Washington State Ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge Island takes just 25 minutes to cross the Sound — and it was somewhere in the middle of that crossing, with the mountains reflected in the water and the wind in their hair, that we did their first look. It was pure magic.

After stepping off the ferry, we made our way into the heart of downtown, where they celebrated their union with a glass of local wine and made it official, signing their marriage certificate surrounded by the warmth and charm of a Bainbridge Island winery. From there, we wandered into the island's breathtaking mossy forests, the kind of lush, green Pacific Northwest woodland that feels ancient and alive all at once, pausing to capture quiet moments among the ferns and towering trees. The day closed out perfectly with a peaceful beach picnic, good food, golden light, and two people completely and utterly in love.
